Vision care should not depend on politics, privilege, or chance.

Ouyouna is building a community-powered vision care system in Lebanon that brings screening, referral, and treatment closer to the people who need it most. We combine technology, trusted medical care, and local communities to make access to eye care simpler, more equitable, and more consistent.

01

Community-powered

We work through schools, educators, and community institutions already embedded in the lives of the people they serve.

02

Technology-enabled

Digital screening and referral tools help identify people who need care and create a clearer path from screening to follow-up.

03

Built around continuity

Ouyouna is not a one-day screening campaign. The goal is to build a pathway from identification to examination, glasses, treatment, or specialist referral.

Ouyouna means “our eyes.”

The name reflects the idea behind the organization: vision care works best when it belongs to the community itself — when people, technology, and care systems work together to protect sight.
